International Sociological Association (ISA) Research Committee (RC50) conference in Japan

Dr Vasilis Papavasiliou attended the International Sociological Association (ISA) Research Committee (RC50) conference in Japan . An intensive five day conference with a theme on Tourism and Human Rights . The location was in Fujisawa, Japan at the Tama University . Dr Vasilis Papavasiliou presented his resent research with coauthor Dr Chryso Panayidou titled  “Narrating the Past : Collective memory and thanatourism”.

He also participated in a workshop study with a theme “inclusiveness in the workplace and tourism “ . The five day conference fostered great opportunities for networking but also creating engaging discussions around the seminars and presentations presented throughout the five days.

Concluding, Dr Vasilis Papavasiliou as the head of the hotel and tourism department, engaged in creating future contacts from participating professors for possible partnerships between universities with CTL Eurocollege in relation to Erasmus programs.
