Privacy Policy

Ctl Eurocollege is a private institution of Tertiary Education registered and acknowledged by the Ministry of Education & Culture of the Republic of Cyprus. As such it is committed to preserving the privacy of all individuals who use its website and safeguards their rights.

Personal information

Any processes of personal data shall be made pursuant to local legislation, including, but not limited to, the Cyprus Law (The Processing Of Personal Data (protection of individuals) Law 138 (i) 2001 as amended), and when applicable from 25 May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The “Controller” is Ctl Eurocollege, and personal data shall have the same meaning as in the Cyprus Law and the GDPR.

We collect information such as names, contact details, countries of origin, email addresses, educational background.

By submitting your personal information online, you are providing consent to the collection, retention and use of your personal data in accordance with the terms of this policy.

Your personal data will be processed only by the competent personnel and staff of the College. This data will be processed in order to comply with local and international laws, regulations and standards. You are informed and acknowledge that the College may legally conduct any necessary and immediate processing of your personal data for the purposes of the College carrying out its legal obligations and legitimate interest. 

Your personal data may be shared among our associates and / or agents for your admission purpose and the relevant governmental departments for your visa obtainance. In other cases where your specific and/or explicit consent becomes necessary to process your personal data, the College will provide you with a separate declaration.

We never use website users’ personal information for marketing purposes unless consent is provided.

We never accept underage users without parental supervision or consent.

The Data Subject has the following rights:

  1. To be informed about the processing of his/her data.
  2. To have access to his/her data.
  3. To object to the processing of his/her data.
  4. To be compensated for any damage caused by reason of violation of the Personal Data Processing Law.

You reserve the right to object, grant access, and be kept informed on any matter pertinent to your personal data. Your personal data will only be retained for as long as necessary, unless any legislation requires for a specific retention period. Furthermore, should you disagree with or object to any matter concerning the processing of your personal data, you have the right to put this in writing to the Ctl Eurocollege.

If any information held by us is incorrect you should request that your data be corrected and updated by contacting the College.

Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the GDPR. Any access request will be free of charge, although multiple copies will be subject to a reasonable fee to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Cookies

We use cookies and analytics services which help us analyze data about web traffic and thereby improve our website.

A cookie is a small file which is placed onto internet enabled device in order to recognize the device at recurring visits, and in turn enable a website’s features and functionalities.

Some parts of our website are only accessible to college staff and students who can log in using their username and password. This secure access system uses cookies but these cookies are used only for identification and not for any other purpose; the cookies are deleted when each session ends. Logs are kept of the date/time/user ID of all log-in sessions, and these may be used for problem solving purposes.

Our systems automatically record all requests for accessing web content, including IP address. This is a standard function of web-serving technology and is used only for problem solving purposes.

We use the following cookies:

LangCookie: LangCookie Adds an extra "Cookie" field to the Language Negotiation settings, allowing the language to be set according to a cookie.

PHPSESSID: This cookie is used to store a the logged in user's username and a 128bit encrypted key. This information is required to allow a user to stay logged in to a web site without needing to submit their username and password for each page visited. Without this cookie, a user is unable to proceed to areas of the web site that require authenticated access.

Data transferred to Countries outside the European Union

GDRP and the Cyprus legislation as it might be amended from time to time forbid the transfer of your personal information outside the European Union unless specific requirements are met for the protection of your personal information. 

 Your personal Data will only be transferred to countries outside the EU only in cases where (a) it is required by law or (b) you have granted us your permission and/or instructed us to do so.

 Bear in mind that in case service providers of a third country are used, our college will ensure to take all reasonable measures in order to ensure that these service providers will comply with the GDPR.

Any transfers to parties located outside the European Union will be in accordance with the GDPR and applicable local legislation as amended from time to time.

Changes to our privacy policy

Our College reserves the right to modify this privacy policy from time to time. Any such modifications will be posted on this website.
